If Freedom Force gets bought as often as it gets reviewed, they must have a big hit on their hand :-) - and the review of Freedom Force at Gaming Lounge suggests that, too, with a final score of 4.5/5 stars. Here's their summary:
Freedom Force is a great game. Go buy it now, don't delay. It's priced below the average new release, which just goes to prove that all the other games are way overpriced. For your money you get the best superhero game ever. You get to create your own superheros with pretty much whatever powers you want. You can even design your own costumes and the really clever can make their own models. The game is a blast to play, easy to get into and addictive once started. The graphics are gorgeous and a credit to the artists involved. In multiplayer you can stage battles that will bring the house down, and the entire neighbourhood. You can pit fireballs against webspinners and levitating mystics against car crunching hulks. As mentioned, the only real disappointment is the multiplayer component. But with the active community and responsive developers it can only be a short time before we see mods that remedy this oversight.
