Also returning is the multiplayer mode that made the first game so fun. Sure, you can play it single player. But your friend can play the game at his house as well, export his character to his memory card, and load it into your game. Then the two of you can knock some heads together. Your friend's character retains all his powers, weapons, and the like, and continues to gain levels and such when he plays with you. Then he can re-export his charcter and take it back home. But I wonder how well this will stack up with another game heading out soon from Sony Online Entertainment. Champions of Norrath is coming out soon, and not only is it multiplayer but it's online. Maybe Black Isle isn't telling us that part? Please??
