It's on par with the likes of Might & Magic. If you like M&M, you'll like Wizardry 8. If you like character generation, Wizardry 8 is pretty good for that. There is a variety of interesting things to do, but if you are like me of the story-based RPG kind, the shallow generated characters and random combats in the game make the game very boring after a while. This game is also annoying in that if you linger in the early stages of the game you can encounter enemies that can disease you but its beyond your capability to cure - and you can't buy a potion. Still, the game is okay. Kept me engrossed for a couple of weeks.
