RPGVault has posted the sixth Lethal Dreams Dev report today. Modeller and Level Designer Alexander 'GALS' Guriev talks about the athmosphere for different locations in the game(illustrated with screenshots):
Because of the peculiarities of the game's storyline - the action takes place on small islands, pieces of the lost world - we the artists had to create a set of locations that would correspond to the idea. Half of the domains were built for the storyline of the game, while the others are created with the automatic domain generator.

Each piece of land is an embodiment of the thoughts, memories and emotions of the characters that inhabit the lost world. The look of the domains depends on the school of magic used by the keepers. We have three pairs of opposite schools:
    1. Evocation - Portals
    2. Incarnation - Transmutation
    3. Enchantment - Necromancy
