A very positive review of Harbinger can be found at Gamehelper. They rate Silverback Entertainment's scifi action/RPG 9/10, and find these final words:
I will confess that many gamers may  be put off by Harbinger as a science fiction Diablo (and I’ve seen that reference many times as well). While the game has many role-playing elements, Harbinger is more as an action title, having gamers clear out areas filled with Herps and Biters in a hack-and-slash manner without the swords and sorcery. Still, Harbinger was beautiful to behold, addicting in its gameplay and overall design, and should definitely be one of the best PC games of the year, ranking it up there with such classics as Planescape: Torment, Baldur’s Gate and yes… Diablo. Am I exaggerating here? Absolutely not, and I think this game is what the genre needed to give it a fresh boost.
