Wonderful sequel. During it's development I read where the developers were removing most of the zombies. Talk about disappointment!! They were my favorites. Scared the crap out of me on many an occation. Still top notch stuff! And still available in some places. Get it and the original! |

If this game had spent a few more months in development and the designers hadn't caved to the critics of the previous game it would have been even better. It's still one of the best games ever. |

Very good sequel, but not quite as good as the original. The engine was better, but many of the levels seemed a little rushed; the story and world seemed a little less well realised, as well. |

A very good game, with a much better story than Thief. Almost all missions make sense and varies a lot. Highly recommendable!

Thief II, while incorporating most of the elements that made the original Thief such a success, simply does not recreate the feel of the original. The sheer terror, forboding missions and dark storyline are tossed aside for mechanical monsters and tile floors. The City has gone modern, and you may or may not like it. With bots that search and claws that catch / and cannonballs to crush and smash / you will probably find, as I did, that you will find yourself coming back to Thief: The Dark Project more than Thief II. However, toward the end of this game the missions take a dramatic turn for the better, with some of the best Thief missions ever occuring in the third quarter of the game. Even taking these brilliant missions into account, there is nothing quite on par with the original Thief's Return to the Cathedral in here, and you will likely find yourself regretting it. This aside, I still recommend without further reservation that you DO buy this game. It is simply a classic must-play game from Looking Glass Studios (otherwise known as God). |

This game is so cr@ppy, absolutely boring that I had to delete it after the 3rd mission.

What's this sh*t? Thief: The Dark Project was the BEST FPS EVER! The Metal Age was so such a disappointment! :(
I still recommend this game to little children and pensionaires...

Excelent sequel, but not quite as good as the original. Thief: The Dark Project was the only game that made me turn off my computer out of fear. The mission "Return to the Haunted Cathedral" is spectacular. The feeling is probably because u know that u cant defeat your enemies no matter what u do so sneaking is the only way to stay alive. Sure Doom was also scary in a way but it dint give tahat feeling of hoplesness.
The sound is the best aspect of the Thief series. Without it Thief just wouldnt be Thief. |

What a fantastic game. The involving storyline coupled with the stealth system made this an involving and interesting game. Though I wish it were more freeform and that you could sneak into mroe people's houses -- it was still top grade! |
