I was SO excited for this game, and then SO disappointed. Buggy, tedious...just bad. 3E rules made it interesting for about 3 hours, then the tedium of traipsing to and fro for hours got to me. Avoid it.

Goblok has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Goblok)

yah well, I liked it, onced the patch were installed to get rid of most of the bugs

EverythingXen has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from EverythingXen)

SO much brown... so much brown... so slow, so slow... and the computer cheats with the dice rolls. I wanted to love this game... I really, really did...

Brassi has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Brassi)

There is alot wrong with this game, besides bugs. The UI is bad, balance is bad, combat is bad (and slow). Very disapointing

Sheltem has rated 2/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sheltem)

This game was a major disappointment. Bugs, repetitive environments, incredibly slow combat, and a complete disregard for most of the 3E rules make this something you shouldn't even pick up in the bargain bin. Not to mention the fact that this game holds the dubious honor of being the only game I can think of that people have had to format thier hardrive because they tried to uninstall it. While that issue has been fixed in a patch it shows a complete lack of testing on the part of the developers.

garrett has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from garrett)

Quite booring, lack of atmosphere, repetitive dungeon design

DarkFencer has rated 2/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from DarkFencer)

A TRAVESTY to compare this game to the original Gold Box Pools of Radiance game. This game was a horribly buggy, boring game with a bad combat system, a bad class system, and so many things left out (like a decent plot) that this game taints the memory of the late 1980's early 1990's SSI Gold Box series of AD&D games. My only saving grace was that my local software store let me return the game. Shame on UbiSoft for forcing such a buggy, half finished game to be released.

Brian has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Brian)

I liked it. once the patch was installed it turned out to be not that bad. Sure the interface is a little odd but so was gothic, just needed to get used to it. It did need a speed booster for the combat though.

Superfluid has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Superfluid)

I can best express my feelings about this game by saying this: It was like someone blindfolding me and telling me Jessica Alba was waiting for me nude just behind those bushes... although when I happily charged through the "Collector's Edition" bushes all I found when I tore off my blindfold was dirty, naked, leering Bea Arthur waiting for me with a rusty hacksaw... Then she cut off my sack. Well that about sums it up. This game was complete ass.

Arax_TheBold has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Arax_TheBold)

This game made little sense to me, why would elves create a huge underground labyrinth? Isn't that something dwarfs or gnomes would do? Iv read a few forgotten reams novels and the like that always depicted myth drannor to be a ruined city above the ground. A little dungeon here and there would of been nice but not 12 hours underground with the gray dirt followed by 5 mins of sunlight. Also this game striped away all of the good qualities of the 3rd edition rules.

Prometheus has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Prometheus)

Huge Disapointment! The game was too buggy, interface sucked, and all around just sucked! It had potential, but they dashed it into the ground within the first five minutes of gameplay.

WHY DID I BUY THIS GAME!!! I wasn't going to buy it, but I've been into D&D for years, and I was just too excited about the 3E rules. I hated this game, and I didn't even run into many bugs. I tried to give it a chance, but the same slow tedious combat over and over and over and .... GRRRRR!!!!

KDeye has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from KDeye)

How come I can't rate in negative numbers?

Zhen Dil Oloth has rated 2/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Zhen Dil Oloth)

It could have been a good dungeon crawl with a poor story, but too many bugs/design flaws made a bad game even worse. Avoid this game at all cost.

OrionPrime has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from OrionPrime)

When I think of PoR2 I think of potential. This game had a lot of problems during development and it showed. I think the combat implementation was the best part of the game, however this too was hampered with a lot of boring encounters, and incredibly slow animation sequences. I think the potential for a good game was definately here but the end result is a bad game.

Sony666 has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sony666)

boring, tedious, dungeons the size and looks of New York City's canalisation system... all has been said before :( I'd rather play the original from the 80's on my C64Emu than this monstrosity.

sheek has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from sheek)

Yeah, this game really does suck.

merlin has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from merlin)

Bob Braunger has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Bob Braunger)

Flawed game. Some good ideas there, and it was one of the first to use the new AD&D rules, but it was just too much of the same thing.. wandering around too-similar areas.

Ronaldo has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ronaldo)

Whoaaaa! This game is nominated for THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE GAMING WORLD! Imagaine SSI, D&D 3e, A nice gaming engine... And all that comes out is a dulldungeon romp in monotone looking graphics

aldreth has rated 2/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from aldreth)

Yuck, and I paid money for this.

Daz has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Daz)

Should have been a Great game but only turn out a very mediocre 3E D&D game. Massive bug problems. The Biggest bug is that it doesnt work on the newer XP systems.

Cath0de has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Cath0de)

joe has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from joe)

I was very excited about this title 18 months before it was released. The graphics looked very nice and 3E rules were implemented for the first time in a CRPG. I took 1 week off of work to play it, what a complete disapointment. It is without a doubt the worst CRPG I have ever played. This is the only game I have bought and never finished, not even half way finished. It's sooo boring, and just plain all around bad.

karlos has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from karlos)

I have never played so large game. Little bit simple but it takes really huge amount of time to finish it.

Desdicado has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Desdicado)

I got quite far into this when the stodgy interface and ridiculously slow combat made me give up and sell the game.

Nilwarp has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Nilwarp)

A good turn-based RPG, restricted to D&D rules. Very good multi-classing system, but non-existing quests and a couple of bugs.

augustaranger has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from augustaranger)

Unnecessarily tedious and much too slow. A game with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, potential ain't enough.

This game is good despite what other people say. It did have its problems, BIG problems. I was one of the lucky people who somehow walked around the bugs without noticing them. I did hate having to travel for an hour to get places though.

Really buggy, crappy interface, partial 3E ruleset, there is nothing that would make me want to play that game again. Ok, it's better that the old gold box games by SSI, but 10 years later, you would expect that.

Licio has rated 2/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Licio)

The slowest game ever. Good graphics, and that's all.

totalgridlock has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from totalgridlock)

dull, boring, tedious and sooooo slow... i mean it takes about two minutes to simply get from one side of the screen to the other... pointless turn based combat too

The game was fine once the patch was released. Not a bad at all.Dungeons where huge and got a lot of good hours out of

Nik has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Nik )

I don't know what everyone else here is complaining about the game won't run under XP very well but I bought it about 3 years ago ran it under ME and it was fantastic - a couple of minor bugs. But it was speedy and the most atmospheric game I'd ever played up to that point. I love the ability to run a 6 character party (and you actually need all the characters at some point or other in the game), the turn based combat worked for me and it took absolutely weeks to complete and there are still sub quests I'd love to go back and complete. Alright, it looks a bit dated now but if somebody polished it up and released a real (i.e. party based) sequel they could have my dosh tomorrow. It's not the best RPG of all time but for it's day it was certainly a big improvement over Baldurs Gate, IceWind Dale, Ultima etc.

Dr. Hoads has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Dr. Hoads)

I enjoyed the turn based combat of this game. Sure it was slow, but I liked watching the battles play out, and being able to plan out my fight. Yes, you can autopause in IE games, but this is still better and more strategic. I like the sound and music also. The above ground scenery was great, and spell effects were great. Had a very D&D "feel" to it. What really killed it for me, was not being able to click on my map and have my chars goto that location. I had to manually send them there. I could not stand that, because sometimes the map was not clear for where there was an opening. I went into this game with low expectations, which is maybe why I was able to enjoy it a little?
