Rob Thomas and Jon Starnes were asked svereal questions about Bard's Legacy - The Devil Whiskey, now being in beta status, in an interview at Gamesp
Prophet: How many classes are there, and are there hybrid classes that you can graduate to?

JS: The closest you get to hybrid types characteristics are in the Paladin class which can learn holy prayer spells at level 13, Psi Knight which can acquire increasingly powerful Psionic skills every 12 levels and the Monk class which has some potions, talismans and meditational and healing skills. Rangers also gain alchemic skill of making minor balms and utility items.

RT: Some classes are unique to race. For Example a Saurian is the only race that can choose the "Red Claw" class

Prophet: How many races are there?

RT: Nine races -- There are Humans, Elves, Half Elves, Half Orcs, Dwarves, Beggans, Saurians, Senrats and Gnomes

Prophet: What are the base statistics that characters can have?

JS: Strength, Intelligence, Wisdom, Dexterity, Constitution, Charisma, Comeliness, Luck and base AC. Depending on class, they can have starting ranges of 0-18 with some of the newer races like Saurian being able to roll a 20 for ST and CN, while lacking in other attributes. For something like Comeliness, Elves would never roll lower than a 13, but in Strength, they may could feasibly get as low as a 3.
