GamerGod's 'Thorjack' instigates this rather intrinsic interview with Horizon's Adrian Lavallee...
GG: Construction in Horizons is a cooperative, community effort. More than most games, Horizons has developed a helpful, friendly player base. Do you feel the need for cooperation in construction has played a significant role in this?
AL: Absolutely. The very nature of the way construction works attracts the type of player who wants to help others rather than just help themselves. This fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and provides goals for the entire community (sometimes the entire server!), which gives those who participate a feeling of contributing to something that permanently changed the world for the better. |
