Plex, self acclaimed "Uber Administrator" of German publisher JoWood's forums has posted up a Gothic II FAQ, covering the most pressing questions from Gothic fans. It is unfortunately only available in German.
However, you're not all out of luck because yours truly is native German so let's see what the FAQ is all about :)

    • When is Gothic II going to be released?

    • The current plan is to release Gothic in October, 2002.
    • Where can I find out more about Gothic II?

    • The latest information about Gothic II will be made available on these boards or at www.jowood.com
    • When is the official site for Gothic II going live?

    • The official site is in development as we speak and will be put online soon. The exact date will be announced on these forums.
    • Where can I find more info about Gothic I?

    • On the official Gothic I site, of course -- www.gothic.de or on fansites such as www.worldofgothic.de or gothic.gomp.net (ed.: or in English on Gothic @ RPGDot, of course!!! ;))
    • Are we going to meet old friends from Gothic I in Gothic II?

    • Yes, a few known characters from the first part will make an appearance in Gothic II. Which ones exactly is going to be announced in the course of the next weeks.
    • Are there plans to release a fansite webkit?

    • As mentioned above, the official Gothic II site is still in the making but once it's online you'll also find a fansite kit for download there.
