When you enter a mission or duel, you move from the realtime environment of Tier into the turn-based combat environment. Within the mission or duel, there are several rules that govern the order of play, and your interaction with your opponent. These combat rules always apply within a mission or duel, regardless of whether you are attacking your opponent directly, or achieving the mission objective another way.
