Gone Gold has posted up some first impressions of Bethesda's Morrowind which is shipping these days.

Here's a snip:

I've only been to three towns (in the Beta) and will say the graphics and attention to detail are impeccable. The entire world is interactive and how the feel changes from town to town is simply unparalleled. The weather system is also like nothing we've seen before and your mouth is going to drop the very first time you find yourself in a dust storm. I found myself crouching in front of the monitor, it felt so real.

What brings it all together is the sound too. As I mentioned, I could care less about game music, but I did indeed notice the music here. The sound effects are terrific as well and turning your head as someone is speaking will change the sound coming out of the right or left speaker, accordingly.
