I'm pleased to announce that invitations are being sent NOW for the first phase of public testing of Earth and Beyond! Our beta test will grow in size over the next several months, so if you don't receive an invitation this time, no worries, there will be plenty of opportunity. For more information, please check the message board forums, we'll try to answer as many questions as possible. And theres also a new update to the Current Status page, heres a snippet:
As I'm sure most of you have anticipated, we've all been working extremely hard to get Earth and Beyond ready to begin external testing. That's meant long days for every department. Our content designers are building sectors, creating cool story hooks, figuring out exactly how a Jenquai (or Progen, or Terran, or pirate… etc) might sound as well as getting into the nitty gritty aspects figuring out items. Of course, our programmers are busily implementing systems, tweaking the game engine, doing very cool things with lighting and effects, creating tools for the rest of us to use to build the game, chasing down bugs and stabilizing the server. Our system designers are busily refining how everything works, detailing and enhancing interfaces and looking at balancing skills and gameplay.
The entire team is very excited to have hit this milestone and be entering into our external testing. At last, we can show you just how cool the game is! |
