A preview of Morrowind (PC) can be found at Zen Gamer. Here's a bit from that preview:
The game really starts when you get to wandering about Seyda Neen. Like much of the rest of the game it is truly intimidating at first. There are dozens of people to talk to, houses to visit, and things to do just in the first village. Fortunately most of the villagers say the same things so you are not but so overwhelmed with information. You are given the first major task in the main quest at the beginning of the game, and you can choose to follow that and head to Balmora or just do whatever you want. I spent most of my first night with the game simply wandering every possible nook and cranny of Seyda Neen and I am embarrassed to say it actually took me some time to realize that I had to use my major skills in order to level up, as I was level 1 for a good 10 hours or so of game time!
