Artifact Entertainment sent us over some information of changes to Hoarding:
Along with the hoard and dragon ability changes that have been introduced recently, we have decided to go ahead and revisit what can be hoarded. The current values are quite inconsistent, and we'll be streamlining the existing values and ensuring consistency whenever possible.

The new values will represent what we think a dragon might want to hoard. In its simplest form, the new system will say that only Armor, Containers, Dragon Scales, Gadgets, Jewelry, Potions, Spells, Tools and Weapons are hoardable. Within those categories, the processed resources required to make the final product will dictate the hoard value, with different values depending on the attractiveness of the resource.

>From highest to lowest values, this is how the processed resource hierarchy is planned to flow: Magic and Gemstone Processed Resources, Metal Processed Resources, and then Stone, Organic and Wood Processed Resources. Effectively this means metal weapons, metal armor, and particularly jewelry and magical items will be of more value to the hoard, as compared to organic armor, organic weapons, and stone items.

This change, along with the new high-hoard loot items, is intended to encourage dragons to purchase items or get items from bipeds rather than spending time crafting mass amounts of scales to be dumped into a hoard that is purely intended to increase adventure abilities. Basically, we hope to make it easier for an adventurer to fill the hoard without continually crafting. Over the next few weeks, changes to support this new system should be implemented, and we hope dragons will find this logic easier to understand, and more natural from the standpoint of a dragon.
