An important note on the Age of Shadows Launch gift and a warning to exploiters were posted on the Ultima Online site. Here's the exploiting thingie:
Suspending players who violate the Terms of Service Agreement or the Rules of Conduct for Ultima Online is not something we take lightly, but it is absolutely necessary for the game as a whole. This includes banning repeat offenders of the Rules of Conduct, as well as carefully tracking the use of exploits and permanently suspending players who use those exploits.

Although the results of these efforts are not always publicized, you can be sure that we are consistent in our enforcement of the Terms of Service and the Rules of Conduct. When we address harmful exploits in the game, we also do everything we can to get reliable information on who was using those exploits - and those people are then removed from the game permanently. We do have the ability to track the use of exploits, and because our goal is to ensure a quality game for all our players, we take full advantage of that ability. Also keep in mind that our records do not take into account player intent, which means that a player who tries out an exploit “just to see if it works” may well find themselves suspended.

Ultimately, the best advice is to not use exploits at all if you value your Ultima Online game account. Don't assume that we will take no action simply because you've heard of someone else using an exploit and getting away with it, or because you feel that the exploit is a harmless one. If you are unsure as to whether something is considered illegal in Ultima Online, we encourage you to send us a question through our RightNow Web support database at http://support.uo.com, or page a GM in-game if it is an urgent matter.

Also remember that it is possible to be suspended for remaining in a guild that actively engages in violations of the Terms of Service Agreement or the Rules of Conduct, which includes sharing information about or abusing bugs and exploits in the game. By remaining in a group that engages in these types of activities, you subject yourself to the possibility of a group punishment.
