Divinity: Skill System Change

Swen "Lar" Vincke from Larian Studios has first asked people on their opinion about how many level-up's they would like to see in Divine Divinity if they had to choose from 30 or 60, and then he announced a not too little change regarding the game's skill system.
They have obviously dropped the system where you had to research skills (buying them gradually with XP) like in strategy games in favor of the good old distribution-of-skill-points-on-level-up tradition. Quite a pity, really as it would have been a unique new feature in an RPG. However, balancing prevented them from implementing it in the end.
