GameMethod dropped us a line to say they have an interview with Scott Brown from NetDevil on Auto Assault:
GM: From what we’ve learned about the game, it seems like a hybrid between Fallout and Twisted Metal. Can you explain the back story and world which has been created for Auto Assault?

Scott Brown: An alien terra-forming vessel smashes into the earth releasing a virus which wipes out a large percentage of the population. The people who survive the virus, our Mutants, gain new powerful abilities and begin to strike back at the groups who have been keeping them quarantined. Humanity builds a bio-mechanical strike force to keep up with the Mutants growing powers, the faction we refer to as the BioMeks. After the fight escalates and the virus continues to spread and mutate, Humanity decides its last option is to release its entire nuclear arsenal against the earth and start over with a clean slate years later.

Humanity buries itself underground and but reemerges to find that while most of the remaining life on Earth was destroyed, somehow the Biomeks and Mutants have survived and are continuing to fight. We are releasing lots of details in the Recon section of our website.
