HomeLAN Fed has interviewed 'World of Warcraft' music composer Jason Hayes. Here's an excerpt:
HomeLAN - First, can you give us some of your musical background before you joined Blizzard?

Jason Hayes - Before Blizzard, I worked for Sierra On-Line in the mountain town of Oakhurst, CA, as a staff composer. That was my first job in the game industry, and I was originally hired to work on a fantastic adventure game called "Cloak". Unfortunately, the game was cancelled when Sierra started to get away from the adventure genre. Before Sierra On-Line, I was doing some jingle writing and other odd jobs in Lafayette, Louisiana. The strangest assignment I had during that time was working on the music for a tourist attraction in Orlando, Florida. The venue was Pacino's Italian Restaurant, and it featured a musical show starring a cast of 16 robot performers! So, my background is pretty eclectic :)
