Gamers-Depot has stocked up on a review of Sid Meier's 'Pirates!'. They found the remake worthy of 3.5 out of 6 drips.
Sid Meier’s Pirates gave me the opportunity to wear an eye patch and cutlass, drink plenty of rum while spending the week growling “argh” at my wife. Never have I called some many people “matey.”

I started Pirates half expecting a turn based strategy game ala Civilization, but instead was met with a surprise. This version of the game gave me an odd feeling of deja vu. I thought maybe I was having a flashback or some practical joker took an old Commodore 64 favorite and revamped the graphics and sound. I remember playing this game when Microprose released it in 1987. This version is a remake by developer Firaxis and publisher Atari.
