I can tell you without a doubt that the Ranger is going to be the absolute most annoying profession in the game. Ritual skills that hinder everything from casting and healing to resurrection are only the beginning. Even more irritating (and useful) are skills like pin down, tongue biter, and throw dirt. It seems like the Ranger is all about disrupting other professiones, often in a non-magical sort of way. Paired with the right profession, Rangers could do some severe damage down the line with hit-and-run attacks.
