UK-based Klik Gamers have reviewed MC2's/Haemimont's strategy/RPG hybrid 'Celtic Kings: Rage of War'. Rating: 8/10.The game is a huge mix of adventure and strategy. The action is viewed in isometric top down fashion, allowing you to control your character; Larax and the army of followers that will increase throughout the game. Therefore, this game is not like C&C at all. You can’t build a base or make more troops in the adventure mode. The armies of people on your side are easily controlled by linking them up with your main hero. With this, you can change formations. There are a total of three of these and each has a different use to get through the game. The one that the games default to is called Horse Wings and this means that your horseman, if you have any, will act as the wings to your movement of troops. Another one is where your army circles you so you can’t get hit as easily. The last one is called the line and this makes your troops form a huge line that is great for sweeping through landscapes. | Source: Blue's |
