One of the hazards of following a game too closely while it's in development is that you can lose your perspective. This peril grows as a game shapes up and begins to look better and better. It's all too easy to blind yourself to the flaws of the product in the belief that "the devs will take care of that before it releases". Then there's a game like World of Warcraft, an MMO who's half-million-player-strong public beta more than lived up to the word "public".
