ReviewGamer have tossed up a preview of Star Wars: KotOR. Preview? ReviewGamer hail from my neck of the woods and we poor Australians don't get the game until Sept 12. Here's a snip:
Although at first it may not seem so, the fighting is indeed turn-based. Whenever an enemy is sighted the auto-targeting system comes into play and pauses the screen, giving you the option to switch between each enemy on screen in order to line up an attack. Pausing the game will allow for you to scroll between each of your available party members (can only have two plus yourself), making for some very groovy attack sequences. In the midst of battle, players are also able to boost their health by taking medpac’s to help ensure that an early death is not evident. However if a party members does ‘die’ (and it will happen), the fighting doesn’t stop until there is no longer any opposition in sight. Once this occurs, party members will magically spring to life, however with basically no health. On the other hand, if all your available party members die then it’s game over. Bummer.
