As you expected, we quote an interesting piece: Earth & Beyond centers on exploration, combat, and trade. There are three basic classes and three basic races; over 63 sectors will be available at launch (with more added later), and hordes of non-player characters (NPCs). The action takes place in a third-person ship view (you can also switch to first-person view and a cockpit view is being considered), and there's an 'avatar' mode that lets you guide your character through space stations to interact with NPCs. The avatar mode is just for negotiating; all combat takes place in space. The game is simple to control, with an almost entirely mouse-driven interface, ensuring it'll be accessible to almost anyone.
