GamingGroove has posted a review of Troika's Vampire: Bloodlines sporting the fairly low score of 6.5/10, although the text notes "Overall, the game is a truly excellent game that if given more polish would shine in a big way. The lack of polish however brings the game down far lower than it should be. If it ran as well as HL2 and CS: Source do for me, I wouldn't hesitate to give this game a solid 9 or 10." Here's the intro:When the announcement was made that there was indeed going to be a sequel to Half-life, gamers were thrilled. Especially when we were given that first video look at the graphics engine that it was going to come with. The minute we all got a look at the engine, we all started wondering just how many developers were going to license the engine as well for their own games and we didn't have long to wait. Troika and Activision announced that they were making an action RPG with the engine which would be based in White Wolf's world of Vampire: The Masquerade and fans of the game couldn't have been more pleased. With the graphical power of Valve's newest engine behind it and the developers of such great games like Fallout and Arcanum, Bloodlines seemed like a sure bet from the get go. Buzz on the game immediately started picking up, with fans eagerly devouring any tidbit they could get a hold of. |
