Lords of EverQuest hasn't been getting spectacular scores but 3/10 has gotta hurt in 1Up's review. Here's a sample of the carnage:If your idea of a novel RTS is a game where a handful of units of the same type are capable of leveling up and mowing over everyone and everything in their path until the end of a campaign, enjoy. If your idea of a right and proper RTS is one where the storyline alone makes you stop and admire the growing of grass outside your window, enjoy. If your idea of an excellent strategic title is one where bridges can't be crossed, there is little to no interaction with the environment, character models look as if they came from a first-generation PS1 game, and the sound is outlandishly mellow and happy during brawls of a misleadingly epic nature, enjoy. If it is not, by all means, play this for I am still certain you'll find something to laugh at (like the ponies that just stand around). |
