Killer Betties joins the short list of sites with an interview on 'Auto Assault'. Scott Brown from NetDevil (previously known for JumpGate) answers the questions and here's an example:What is this game about? What is the setting and the genre? How involved in the story can the player become and will the game have multiple outcomes? Do you think your game lends itself to immersion?
Auto Assault is set in post-apocalyptic Earth where humanity has released all of its weapons of mass destruction against the surface in an attempt to stop the spread of an alien virus. The game takes place a few hundred years later as the Humans return to the surface to find the remnants of two other warring factions, the Biomeks and Mutants, still fighting and trying to rebuild the Earth in their own visions. We have taken the story seriously and are creating lots of hand-crafted missions for the player to become immersed in the story line. Our designers are expert story crafters and playing each side will reveal a different take on where we are today and how we got here. Also, being able to destroy the environment gives a much more interactive feel to the world. |
