NWNStratics has published some questions and answers that remained untouched in the recent online chat with Trent Oster due to technical difficulties. Follow this link to read the full article after having had a taste with our snippit:

NWN Stratics:  What type of anti-hacking devices/options will be in place to protect users of the server from outside interference?
Trent Oster:  The major anti-hacking feature in NWN is everything happens on the server. Every roll, every rule, every spell is calculated in the same place. This really eliminates a huge number of potential cheating loopholes. We assume that anything the client sends us could be hacked and as such, we treat it as suspect data.

NWN Stratics:  In the past Trent Oster has mentioned the an option for tracking players by "attaching a camera" to a group as one of the many options being considered, have any final decisions on how will DM's be able to easily watch and/or quickly change between multiple parties on the same server? And if so, will the parties be viewable or monitor-able in separate windows?

Trent Oster:  Yes, I did mention we were looking at attaching a camera as an option. Unfortunately, creating sub-windows like that ended up not being particularly viable in the game engine. We're still working out other methods of quick navigation and tracking for the DM but we have yet to nail down any of the details.
