The Entertainment Depot has posted a beta report from the ongoing beta of Dark Age of Camelot. Here's a snip:

Once I past level 5, I found myself exploring vast country sides and joining different groups in search of more experience and better loot.  I was also hit by the fact that up until that point, dying didn't really matter as all of my items and experience were kept, this is done so that players can progress faster, but now, experience is lost (not items though), but can be regained by praying at the grave that is brought about at your place of death.  This added a new dimension, as my grave could be a great distance away and I could either go alone, try to get a party to go with me, or ignore it.  On a very positive note, I had no problems going back to regain my experience with a party as every player I encountered was extremely nice and always helpful.

Fighting in a party is a delightful experience.  Aside from great players, there is also an auto split feature that splits the loot up from an encounter to ensure that everyone in a party gets their fare share and experience is awarded by how much damage you inflicted upon the enemy.  Some very nice features are the fact that you can not take another's loot, you can not attack another from your realm, and you can not talk to people from other realms.  All of these rules are extremely effective and really help to smooth the game out.  It also makes group combat a breeze as there are no arguments as to who gets what and leaves no room for doubt that someone might turn on another member once they are weak.
