CSN has conducted a Q&A with Irrational Games' Lead Designer for Freedom Force, Jon Chey. This superhero RPG is near completion, and Chey answers some questions about various aspects of the game, like level editor and weather:
DarkJared: We've heard a bit about the level editor. What sort of scenarios are going to be supported by it? By that I mean will we only be able to create a level for multiplayer games or will we be able to create new single player campaigns?
Jon Chey: Levels themselves are created in Max. The editor allows you to move around enemies and objects in the level and the scripting system lets you set up missions from scratch. So you could create both multi and single player missions and even campaigns!
DarkJared: Weather. Will we see adverse weather in the environment of the game both for the sake of bringing life to the game-world but also for use by a hero with the ability to manipulate it?
Jon Chey: There are some beautiful weather effects in the game. Currently, they're only used for (extremely nice) aesthetic purposes |
