A new producer letter from Eric Wang has been published at the official site for Earth & Beyond. This is how it starts:
This month's game update, scheduled for December 18, includes some exciting and innovative additions to the Earth & Beyond universe that we're sure you'll enjoy. Among the big changes are the first iteration of team-based player-versus-player (PvP) competition, a new set of missions that will allow players to become Net-7 news reporters, and the ability to buy new clothes or a new paint job for your ship. And we'll have a few holiday surprises as well.
The most exciting feature this month is the first version of our team PvP system. We have an event format planned which will allow groups of players to compete against each other. The format is designed to make explorer and tradesman classes just as effective as combat-heavy players. But never fear, you will still be able to attack other players' ships! The team PvP system is currently based around the Progen Nova Gladiator Games, which allow six teams, of up to six players each, to compete in a timed event. You'll be able to read the full breakdown in an upcoming article. PvP system for teams? Hm. Sounds interesting... |
