Head over to Preys World for the latest 'City of Heroes' review. The score is 4 Stars and here's an excerpt:
The game’s first images are of a very comic book orientated look, with a silhouetted cityscape background and loading splash screen featuring the aforementioned spandex-clad heroes. The names of the servers simply scream “cheese” at you, with names like ‘Justice’, ‘Victory’ and ‘Guardian’, just begging for you to log on and teach those villainous scum some manners. After selecting your server, you get to enter the character creation process, which has been hyped as being very expansive and giving the possibility of hundreds and thousands on unique heroes… and it can easily be said that this hype has not been misplaced. There are hundreds of ways to customize your character, from masks and helmets to robotic arms and good old body-hugging spandex and cat suits. There are options to allow you to recreate your favourite comic book heroes, but this is frowned upon not only by the community but can also lead to your character becoming banned for potential breach of copyright, something Cryptic are very keen on attempting to avoid.
