ActionTrip has slapped up a report of Microsoft's Norse mythology themed MMORPG 'Mythica'.

Here's a bit:
In Mythica, the player literally IS a god. In Norse mythology, when a valiant hero dies, his soul is brought to the halls of Valhalla where Odin makes him a lesser god. Your character is one such hero. Odin then recruits you to fight against the giants of Niflheim, Jotunheim and the like and prevent the battle that will engulf the world. Each character, being a god, has tremendous power - but that power draws from the amount of worshippers each god has praying to him. When you enter the public realms, depending on the amount of heroic deeds your character has performed (fighting the enemies of the village, slaying giants and their armies as they pour through the gates to the giant realms, your character gains worshippers in the three mortal realms - Midgard and Vanaheim and gains worshippers from the ranks of humans, Dvergar (dwarves) and Alfar (elves).
