Johan Tenga, Lead Designer for Funcom's Age of Conan, has updated his blog at 1UP.
Ok first I just have to mention the great hockey game this weekend. I am of course talking about the Olympic Ice Hockey final, Sweden versus Finland. Coming from Sweden myself it was an extra special win. Congratulations to the entire Swedish team for the gold medal!

The office has been slightly sparser this week, with people dropping of left and right due to the flu. I believe this year has been worse then normal but luckily I've managed to stay away from catching anything nasty this year! Fingers crossed at least, as the winter isn't quite over yet.

It has been a hectic week with lots of tasks getting done. We saw the latest polished version of ranged combat the other day and it's starting to look really sweet. NPC's are now firing off arrows like the best of them, so it is all coming together very nicely.

So what do I mean when I say 'polished'? Seeing something without real graphics or with placeholders scattered around and seeing it complete with the correct graphics in the right environment is totally different. We spend quite some time working on versions with placeholders or things that aren't quite finished yet, so seeing something finished and 'polished' even if its just a small feature in the scope of the entire game is always nice!
