Dungeon Siege 2 is almost done. Gas Powered Games is ready to release the second sequel to the popular 2001 fantasy role-playing game late this summer.

The Dungeon Siege series is a fantasy RPG that was more action than story. The series would fit nicely into a sub-genre of fantasy RPG along with Diablo and the popular platform games Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance or Champions of Norrath. Instead of story driven games where character’s choices are the most important player input, these games are usually a pair of characters running through waves of bad guys and monsters, hacking and slashing their way to the next cut scene. That’s is not bad at all. I find a good time walking through waves of orcs and other bad, icky, nasty monsters.
