The recently golden "Another War" has been previewed by GamersEurope. Here's a bit from that:
Another War is a role playing game based around the 2nd World War. Now instead of concentrating on some of the actual events of the War that other games have focused on, Another War will be following an American Mercenary uncovering a sinister plot throughout occupied Europe. After playing the game for a couple of minutes I suddenly remembered what it reminded me of an adventure book, the kind of books that were interactive and presented the reader with options such as “To follow the man turn to page 226, to wait turn to page 19”. If you’ve never come across these types of books try to find one and read it before you play the game, you to will notice the similarities. The reason that this game reminded me of these is essentially that is what the game is. Click on an interactive object or a person and a dialogue box appears with a description of what has happened or what you are looking at and below a list of options for you to select. In a conversation these options are a list of dialogue for you to choose. After selecting an option your story will continue, either presenting you with an outcome of with more options to choose from. |
