Head over to Wicked Toast for a review of Enlight's Joan of Arc. The score is 3/5 and here's a clip:The gameplay in JoA consists of a third person and RTS view. You can switch between the two in-game, but the first four missions restrict you to third person so you can get a feel for combat and using your character.
When you attack a foe, you can chain attacks by using different button combinations. You can also execute a powerful energy attack which results in the loss of some of your hit and energy points, due to its potency. In addition to melee combat, you can switch to different types of bows. This mode limits your movement and offers a small targeting reticle. Each kill rewards you with experience which eventually results in your commander - whether it's Joan or another hero - gaining a level. After leveling, you distribute earned points on strength, dexterity, defense, leadership, hit points and/or energy points used for special attacks. You’re also granted points to distribute between new or existing combo attacks, adding to their maximum strength.
