Chris Remo and Jake Rodkin of Idle Thumbs interviewed Ron Gilbert and part 3 has been posted. Ron Gilbert is best known as the lead designer of The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: Le Chuck's Revenge. He also worked on other Lucas Arts classics such as Maniac Mansion, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Zak Mc Cracken and the Alien Mindbenders. You can find out more about Ron Gilbert through his blog, Grumpy Gamer.

Read the interview to discover Ron's thoughts on Myst, Animal Crossing, Gamespot, and Idle Thumbs.

You're missing out. I think one of the best things about Animal Crossing is that you can go in, play the game for short periods of time, and you never lose. Animal Crossing isn't a competition, and I think that is one of the very big problems with games these days is—well they're called "games," right—it's a big competition. If it's not a competition with "controller number 2," it's a competition against the game to beat it.
