A slightly belated review of Silverback's SciFi RPG 'Harbinger' can be found at MadGamers today. Verdict: 7 out of 10 points.
Of course, as with all RPGs, you need to have a user friendly interface to get to grips with the many aspects of Harbinger. There are shortcuts on your keyboard, so you can view things more quickly, but if you can't be bothered to learn all of them you can simply click them on the screen. All things are clearly labelled, meaning you don't have to read the instruction book to find out what each thing does, so whether it's the map or your character stats, you'll find it with no problem at all. The AI on the other hand is a little inconsistent. Sometimes the person you are fighting can get stuck in the scenery, but this rarely happens and doesn't really affect the game much, unless the screen gets packed with characters.
