    Dialogues
The style of the answers will vary according the NPCs. Some will only give a response when you meet the requirements (Response "x" only shows up if stat "y" is over value "z"), while others there will always be a response, and the effect depends on the character's skill/stat value. A quickie example out of the blue, then I'm outta here:
You want the key of eternal darkness from Shijiru the Shadow Strider (umm, no, there are no ninjas in the game) - if he had stat based dialogue, only one of these would show up:

Stat > x: "We must honorably ask that you surrender the key and avoid any un-needed confrontations." (He gives you the key)
Stat < x, >y: "You would do well to surrender the key or we might have to take it from you." (He respecfully declines and attacks)
Stat < y: "Hey ninja-boy, you give us your key, or we take it from you, right after doing a victory dance over your broken body." (He flips the party off and then attacks)

For a skill based dialogue, it would be something similar to the cases above, but tailored to the appropriate skill.

    Some Q&A
Q: Will barbarians continue to get damage resistance after level twenty?
A: The level 21+ stuff is a little touch-and-go right now, but currently yes.

Q: Can someone explain to me why the rules section says that weapon finese only affects to hit?
    A: Because that's how it works in IWD2. ^_^
As Jeriko noted, the feat allows a character to use his or her Dexterity bonus to hit... not to damage. Only the attack ("to-hit") roll is affected.

Q: Are there special abilities for levels above 20, or are these just extrapolated from the level 1-20 class tables? If so, might there be a teaser?
A: Currently, the only "non-extrapolated" ability is the druid's shapechange to air elemental at 22nd level.

Q: With the changes to helms, by what means can a PC now be protected against critical hits?
A: In IWD2? Outside of some crazy magical item (and that'd be a good item! ^_^), none.

Q: Will the cleric's prime requisite be used in determining the DC of of domain spells?
A: I might be misunderstanding your question, but... domain spells are cast like any other divine/cleric spell; their DC's are determined in the same way.

Q: So "Cleave" made it into the game? How is it implemented?
A: Currently, if a combatant with Cleave does enough damage with a melee weapon to kill his or her target, then the combatant will get a bonus of one to his or her number of attacks for one round.
If the combatant does not attack during that round, the effect expires.
Seen in action, it seems to simulate the PnP version quite nicely.

    Modding in IWD2
It's probably going to be just as difficulty as IwD1, probably more so since we've changed a lot and all of the modders out there will need to learn how the new engine handles things.

    Is Cleave useless?
I would say that Cleave is only useless if you don't plan on having your character getting a lot of killing blows.
