Another review of 'Fable' for XBox has popped up over at FileFront. Rating: 4/5.
Fable, in development for what may seem like an eternity, has finally hit the console gaming world. This game, said to break and create more genres than Elizabeth Taylor’s created and broken marriages, has the feel of a remarkable epic akin to Odysseus’ journey through the ancient Greek world to rejoin his wife and son in Homer’s The Odyssey—yes, it’s just that epic. The game, from the moment you start, just has a massive feel to it that previous games (even Bethesda’s Morrowind) have failed to convey. Fable just feels so huge that you cannot help but be overwhelmed by it’s proposed scope. Unfortunately, the game’s scope falls very short of the epic status that it initially conveys (unlike Morrowind, which grew into more and more of an epic as you went along) due to a rather severe lack of content/length.
