FileFront has whipped up a review of Obsidian's/LucasArts' 'Knights of the Old Republic' sequel for XBox. Rating: 4/5.
Star Wars is a brand name that will never die. As long as good old buddy George Lucas is still around (and probably years after he isn’t), every possible marketable product from nightlights to underwear will have been affected by “the force.” Video games are no different. If you can think of a genre, there is probably a Star Wars game for it. FPS, racing, flying, RTS, you name it. And while some have been mediocre at best, others have been very solid titles. Last year’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was exactly one of those games, moving the Star Wars name into a fully fledged RPG world where your actions directly determined whether your were on the light or dark side. Now with the release of the sequel, The Sith Lords, the game picks up right where the last one left off. Does it surpass the first? Maybe. Does it borrow everything that made the first game as great as it was? Definitely. Is it worth your time? Read on.
