ZenGamer has slapped up a review of Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna. The score is 6/10 and here's a snip:
In the end, though, Legends of Aranna provides no significant improvement to the original game. The AI of the monsters is not significantly improved and it is still ridiculously easy to separate one or two unfortunate morons from a pack of creatures while the rest of their comrades return to their starting position. The new campaign is certainly welcome, and is a pleasant enough distraction, especially if you liked the original game’s campaign. Complaints that the campaign is on a rail are to be expected – Diablo didn’t allow free form exploration either. The frustration here and in the original is that the world seems so much bigger than it really is. Things still move too quickly for effective tactical combat decisions without automation, but automation takes away a lot of the point of playing. Legends of Aranna is, in the final analysis, more of the same - which may or may not be a good thing.
