On EveGate, you can find an interview with Nathan 'enn' Richardson, server administrator at Siminn, the company which will be hosting the servers for EVE-Online. Here's something:
EVEGate: How much bandwidth is there from the server cluster and to the net and how much bandwidth between the servers? And how much do you expect eve to use up with the full complement of 100,000 players online?

Nathan: EVE isn't a very high bandwidth game. 56K users should be able to play it quite happily. Okay, maybe not quite happily, but happily nonetheless. ;) We don't have final calculations on expected usage and Cable & Wireless are our backbone provider so we have good access to bandwidth. Between servers, there are standard 100Mbit or 1Gbit single or multiple Ethernet connections.
