Dee Ireland from Digital Girl lets us know that they have put up an interview with Codemasters' Community Liaison Manager Peter "Calistas" Tyson.
Here's a bit:DG: Do you feel that Dragon Empires will appeal to the casual gamer? These days I'd consider myself a casual gamer, I'd love to be able to play online for a couple of hours and feel like I've achieved something. Will Dragon Empires be able to provide such an experience, and in what ways?
Peter: One big way is that those who are casual gamers will love our manufacturing system. It is possible to log in, set your factory running and then log off. When you next log in it will have bought, made and sold goods or have finished production on an order you have arranged. For those not into manufacturing it will be relatively easy to get into the wilderness to find some monsters to bash. Alternately, you should be able to finish a quest in a couple of hours and thus enjoy a good story and a nice reward. |
