Final Fantasy VII: 9/10 points |
A solid RPG and a first of Square's into the major western market and the game which really put Square on the map here. Great post-modernist style storyline and the best Final Fantasy spell system involving the gaining of experience of materia makes this a great RPG. The dialogue, the weird humour and the linearity of the games push this down to a '9', being made up only by the sheer experience of such a good story as well as the bad guy Sephiroth. |
Planescape: Torment: 10/10 points |
It is simply an rpg that excells in dialogue and characterisation, a game which gives the gamer the option to make a deep impression on what is essentially a linear game world, combining the two most heartfelt attributes of a game the centre ring. |
