Helherron heads to v2.04, which is due to be released Sunday - so any time now. This will be a freeware release and adds 800x600 res, updated graphics and a linux version among other things. Although the new version isn't up as I write, the patch notes are available. Keep an eye out for some turn-based party goodness. RPG Codex has reported on plot generation in Gearhead 2, the mecha rogue-like. Ashes: Two Worlds Collide let us know about an animated gif they posted on their site to show some of the in-game NPC heads. Not really an RPG, but the arcade shooter with RPG elements (!) Evil Invasion has moved along to v1.24 and looks an interesting way to kill an hour or two.
