A new preview of Neverwinter Nights has been put online at Gamesdomain. Here's a bit of that:
The stakes are high. Neverwinter Nights is easily the most ambitious and potentially revolutionary D&D RPG anyone has ever attempted. Why is it revolutionary? Because Neverwinter Nights dares to play like the pen-and-paper Dungeons & Dragons game it was based on. It will primarily be an online multiplayer role-playing game, but it won't be anything like Everquest or Dark Age of Camelot.

Instead of thousands of players exploring a single game world, leveling up and camping to catch the latest monster spawn point, Neverwinter Nights will feature small bands of players gathering on a single server. One player will be able to take the role of Dungeon Master and will coordinate the story, control monsters and guide players along a pre-made adventure from BioWare, the Internet or from the Dungeon Master's own imagination. The overall experience will be much more personal, and most importantly, should play exactly like the pen-and-paper game, except without time-consuming dice rolls and rules arguments.
