1Up has a preview of the Xbox version of Deus Ex: Invisible War :Invisible War's basic gameplay system hasn't changed much from the original. The Xbox version controls like your typical first-person shooter, with the sticks used to move and look, the right trigger firing guns, and the buttons used for items and world interaction. Deus Ex fans will notice a few simplifications right off -- all weapons run off the same ammo, and there's only one multitool to handle all lockpicking and keypad hacking (that required two separate items before). The heads-up display has also been redone, making inventory and biomod control easier to deal with on an Xbox controller. Like the original, a lot of Invisible War's challenge stems from the fact that you can't carry a lot of stuff at once -- a few guns, grenades, and energy supplies will fill you right up, so you must choose your possessions carefully at all times. |
